Falmouth Mayor, Cllr Alan Jewell, Penryn Mayor, Cllr Sinead Hanks, Cdr Charlie Neve, RN and local Falmouth MP Jayne Kirkham, launch the Military v Cancer “Trafalgar Way” sponsored cycle ride from Falmouth to London Sunday 20th September

Military Veterans completed riding the ‘Trafalgar Way’ from Falmouth to Admiralty Arch in London on Friday 25th September to raise money for the Military v Cancer charity.

The Mayor of Falmouth, Cllr Alan Jewell, officially launched the charity bike ride on Sunday 20th September at the starting plaque (see photo).

The riders Paul ‘Ralphy’ Ralph & Russ ‘Spike’ Timpson (see phot) stopped at all 31 commemorative plaques along the way.

The support van driver, Mike Smalley, provided the riders with high-energy drinks & biscuits & the odd pasty on the way.

2026, being the 125th anniversary of the Royal Navy Submarine service, provided an opportunity for Charlie and Russ to deliver an SM125 History and Operations brief at 5 overnight stops: Falmouth, Launceston, Honiton, Old Basing and at the Admiralty pub Trafalgar Square, London. This reception event was sponsored by Hydrocert, one of MvC’s official sponsors.
