Museum Update
Visitors are once again enjoying the sights and sounds of the Submarine Museum. The staff have not been idle during the lockdown with much maintenance and many enhancements carried out.
And in case you are wondering the Buckton Chain Testing Machine is a 200 ton tensile machine delivered secondhand to Vickers in 1901 to provide testing capabilities for HOLLAND 1 and then remained in use up to ASTUTE’s build.
