I served on HMS Trafalgar in the early 90's, I was one of the ships phot on board at that time. The ship in view was USS America, we had just conducted an "attack" on her and sent up a smoke grenade, our target then sent up a helicopter to find us which the other image. I was responsible for setting the camera up on the periscope and developing the photos but it was the Captain (Commander Bob Mansergh) that captured the shot.

East Maidens Light

This is the 2000yds approach shot of Maidens Light taken during the OPEX phase of Spartan’s work-up in early 1989 prior to the actual periphot strip panorama run. Taken by XO Gordon Lester and developed onboard by the SCO who I think was John Warden in the wardroom heads!

Tiger-from Dreadnought

From Graham Stoddart-Jones. I have one here from 1973, when Dreadnought accompanied one of the early Group deployments. Peter Jeanneret snapped Tiger doing a full speed trial.....purely out of interest, one of the Sea Kings took an aerial shot of the same trial, so have included it just for fun.
