Hi Just to remind all of the Friends that in the West Country there is the Courageous Exhibit that is in extremely good condition forward and well worth a visit. So if you are ever in Janner Land, home of the Sunshine Squadron (SM2)maybe think about a visit. Either by telephone 01752 552326 or contacting me via the Courageous Association website. Kind regards Pitt.k (former naval person)

I recall that in 1954 the lower deck had been cleared to "paint ship".We were alongside HMS Maidstone and standing on the ballast tanks of S pringerthe Captains motor boat passed doing a fair rate of knots. The wash took Buster Brown, our L/Tel,into the oggin. He had,as usual his merschaum pipe in his mouth, his black hat and he surfaced with both !! No injuries. Are you still with us Buster ? The Captain , an ex curator of the S/M museum , was Lt Richard Compton Hall

BZ Webmaster for this innovation. Could we have an update on how the Museum now fits within the new Royal Navy Museum construct, particularly the extent of autonomy left to the RNSM staff, please?

I hope you will all visit Father Christmas at the North Pole on 5th and/or 6th December! There are even pictures around of the great man peaking through a periscope.
