The Bishop of Dudley visits the Museum

The Bishop of Dudley, the Rt Revd Graham Usher, paid a visit to the Royal Navy Submarine Museum (RNSM) in Gosport as part of a two-day tour of the National Museum of the Royal Navy.

Bishop Graham and his family were shown around the museum on Friday, August 14. The Bishop’s grandfather, Marcel Usher, served in submarines during the Second World War.

Bishop Graham said: “It was a privilege to visit the Royal Navy Submarine Museum and, not only see submarine-related artefacts that belonged to my late grandfather, but also to learn more about his career as a submariner during the Second World War and the daily hardships and dangers that he and others put themselves in deep in the ocean.”
