School Trips to the Museum

As Jeff Tall OBE retired after 14 years as The Director of the Museum, The Friends have donated £10,000 to support the school trips he instigated helping children from Hampshire schools visit the museum and learn about submarines. Below are just a couple of the many testimonials the musuem has received showing how worthwhile this cause is.  It was suggested to the committee that Jeff had written these himself however, after discussion, it was agreed that this was unlikely as neither his handwriting nor his drawing is this good.

Better Medal Interpretation

The cabinet above houses some of the museum's medal collection.  The Friends have donated £6000 which, together with a bequest, will be used to display more of the museum's collections of medals and improve the their interpretation.
